Volleyball Recap: Basha Comes Up Short

Basha was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Casteel Colts, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 11th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-14.

Grady McGibney paced Basha's offense, picking up eight kills. McGibney were helped by Aiden Pham and Brian Krummick, who contributed nine assists each.

Basha's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Casteel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-11-1 record this season.

Basha didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Desert Ridge on the 30th. As for Casteel, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Mountain Ridge on the 30th.
