Softball Recap: Glide's Run of 11 Straight Wins Now Over

After a string of 11 wins, Glide's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Douglas Trojans by a score of 5-3. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Aryanna Belloir spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Glide's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for Douglas, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

While Glide had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
