Baseball Recap: South Sevier Rams vs. Duchesne Eagles

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Sevier had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Duchesne Eagles as they made off with a 16-5 victory. The result was nothing new for South Sevier, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Stockton Roberts looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Cannon Barney was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaggar Redd, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

On Duchesne's side, Parker Crum made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

South Sevier is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. As for Duchesne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-11.
