In what's become a running theme this season, the Futures Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 74-24 victory over Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning at home. Winning may never get old, but Futures sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Futures' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Kozlov, who scored 21 points along with five steals. Kozlov has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Deonta Dorrough, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Futures pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.33 points. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Futures will head out on the road to take on Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Encina Prep at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Encina Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 games.
