Tucker Bickford Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Weeping Water got the W thanks in part to Tucker Bickford playing the best football he has all season. Bickford rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.

Weeping Water pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Bickford and Weeping Water will venture away from home to challenge Elmwood-Murdock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Owen Seger Has Career-Day on Friday

On Friday, Weeping Water got the W thanks in part to Owen Seger playing the best football he has all season. Seger rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

This season, Seger has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 43.1 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 4.29 rushing yards per game.

Harms Posts Huge Game in 52-11 Victory

Another Weeping Water player making an appearance on this list is Luke Harms. He picked up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown.

On the season, Harms has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 19.6 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to 13.

Jaren Boschult put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown.

Hunter Bohling Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Hunter Bohling of Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer. Bohling rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Bohling and Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will be playing at home against Johnson County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
