Pine Plains put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Rondout Valley Ganders with a sharp 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bombers, who have now won three matchups by 16 runs or more so far this season.

Austin Mielich made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Warren Lounsbury was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Ryan Blass was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Pine Plains hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Pine Plains' record is now 5-0. As for Rondout Valley, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.
