Basketball Recap: Central Magnet Comes Up Short

Central Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 54-19 loss at the hands of the Westmoreland Eagles. The game marked Central Magnet's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Central Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Westmoreland, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Magnet will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Westmoreland will take on Hunters Lane in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Westmoreland is facing Hunters Lane at the right time seeing as Hunters Lane is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
