Westwood has no trouble against Orangefield

Recap: Westwood Panthers vs. Orangefield Bobcats

On Friday, Westwood strolled past Orangefield with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. The win was all the more spectacular given Westwood's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while Orangefield is ranked 133rd).

Westwood found their leader in underclassman Kavian Bryant, who scored 26 points. The contest was Bryant's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Derik Boston anderson, who scored two points along with 14 rebounds.

Westwood's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Orangefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-2.

Westwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chapel Hill at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th. Chapel Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Orangefield and Onalaska will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Onalaska is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
