Basketball Recap: Seminole Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

With a playoff win on the line, Seminole rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They snuck past the University Cougars with a 52-46 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Seminoles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Jorden Pittman was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-14 to rack up 17 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave him a new career-high. Javon Peterson was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Seminole has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

Looking ahead, Seminole will challenge Creekside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Creekside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Seminole likes a good challenge. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
