Basketball Recap: Mill Creek Sets Scoring Season-High Against Springer

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mill Creek). They walked away with a 42-34 win over the Springer Cardinals on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bullfrogs as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexie Harrell, who posted 15 points. That was a full 44.1% of Springer's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Mill Creek's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Springer, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Mill Creek will head out on the road to square off against Wapanucka at 12:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Springer has already played their next game, a 73-35 loss against Wilson on the 17th.
