Softball Recap: Fleming County Comes Up Short

Fleming County entered their contest against East Carter on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to the Raiders when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fleming County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Ross, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Ross also scored a run, marking her first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Fleming County and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for East Carter, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Fleming County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Bracken County on the 28th. As for East Carter, they have also already played their next match, a 13-0 win against West Carter on the 28th.
