Basketball Game Preview: Sharpsville Blue Devils vs. Kennedy Catholic

The Sharpsville Blue Devils and Kennedy Catholic will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sharpsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Mercer 75-71. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (64), the Blue Devils still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Catholic lost to Varsity Opponent at home by a 56-42 margin on Tuesday. Kennedy Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sharpsville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Kennedy Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Sharpsville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Kennedy Catholic in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 54-48 victory.
