Basketball Game Preview: Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes vs. Stall Warriors

The Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes are taking a road trip to take on the Stall Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashley Ridge is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.

On Friday, Ashley Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Fort Dorchester, taking the game 56-49. Given the Swamp Foxes' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Patriots are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Skyla Tuthill was her usual excellent self, putting up 27 points. The contest was her 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Johnson, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Ashley Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Stall had to suffer through a 83-27 loss at the hands of Summerville. The Warriors have struggled against the Green Wave recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Ashley Ridge pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Stall, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Everything went Ashley Ridge's way against Stall in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Ashley Ridge made off with a 60-37 win. Does Ashley Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Stall turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
