Recap: Shaker Bison vs. Hanover Bears
The Shaker Bison have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 55-23 stomp they got on the road against Hanover. That looming 55-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Shaker yet this season.
Shaker got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Peyton Hoblock out in front who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Russo, who scored eight points along with six steals.
The win (which was Shaker's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Hanover, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Shaker is on the road again on Thursday and play against Wallkill at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Wallkill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday. Hanover won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Johnson City at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. Johnson City is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
