Basketball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover was the 57-55 winner over Glendale when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hoover Tornados took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glendale Nitros on Wednesday. The Tornados' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Glendale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mason Manalo, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards. Jacob Samontina was another key player, going 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Glendale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.

As of now, neither Hoover nor Glendale have any future games scheduled.
