Football Game Preview: McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs vs. Bishop Gorman Crusaders

The McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs will head out to take on the Bishop Gorman Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Gorman took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on McKinney Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

McKinney Christian Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Non Varsity Opponent, posting a 29-0 victory. The Mustangs' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Cody Dow continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 102 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 40 points the game before, Bishop Gorman was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of Covenant. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bishop Gorman's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for McKinney Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

McKinney Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Bishop Gorman in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, losing 32-16. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Cody Carter (who rushed for 210 yards and three scores while picking up 13.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 38 yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
