Licking came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Mountain Grove Panthers with a sharp 17-2 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Licking's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Mountain Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Licking will square off against Stoutland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3, the Tigers 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mountain Grove, they will welcome Ava at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
