Basketball Game Preview: Amador Valley Dons vs. Northgate Broncos

The Amador Valley Dons will take on the Northgate Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Amador Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-48 win over Bishop O'Dowd.

Campolindo typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Northgate proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cougars 57-54. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Amador Valley better focus on containing David Harris and Brady Gray as the pair were huge in Northgate's win. Harris almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds, while Gray posted 13 points. What's more, Harris also posted a 71% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Nico Martin was another key player, putting up eight points.

Northgate's victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Amador Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
