Basketball Recap: West Lutheran Takes a Loss

After flying high against Parnassus Prep last Friday, West Lutheran came back down to earth. The West Lutheran Warriors fell to the White Bear Lake Bears 68-62. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Bears are ranked 114th).

West Lutheran has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points over those games. As for White Bear Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.

West Lutheran has already played their next matchup (against Liberty Classical Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. White Bear Lake also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Cretin-Derham Hall.
