Basketball Recap: Giltner Takes a Loss

Giltner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 74-33 loss at the hands of the Blue Hill Bobcats. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Giltner lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Blaydon White, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Cady, who scored two points and three steals.

Giltner's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Blue Hill, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Giltner will welcome Lawrence-Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blue Hill, they will host Silver Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blue Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Silver Lake likes a good challenge.
