Volleyball Recap: Belmont Takes a Loss

Belmont lost against Alcorn Central back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals lost 3-0 to the Bears. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.

Belmont's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Alcorn Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Belmont will be playing at home against Walnut at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alcorn Central, they will head out to challenge Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
