Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Tigers vs. Ridgecroft Rams

The Trinity Christian Tigers will square off against the Ridgecroft Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ridgecroft will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Trinity Christian extended their winning streak to ten on Monday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 69-7 win over Washington Montessori. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-1.

Trinity Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenna Overton out in front who shot 83% from the field on her way to 13 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Overton a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Macey Skinner was another key player, going 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Trinity Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 31 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ridgecroft beat Faith Christian 41-37 on Thursday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Ridgecroft, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
