Baseball Recap: Edwardsburg Comes Up Short

Edwardsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to the Brandywine Bobcats. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Eddies, who until this contest were averaging 4.04 runs allowed.

Alex Castelucci was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Edwardsburg's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Brandywine, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5-2 record this season.

While Edwardsburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
