Baseball Recap: Los Angeles CES' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Los Angeles CES gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Hamilton Yankees by a score of 10-5. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Unicorns' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Luke Polizzi was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Phan, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Polizzi wasn't the only one making solid contact: Los Angeles CES kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hamilton only managed five hits.

Los Angeles CES' win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for Hamilton, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5.

Los Angeles CES didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against St. Monica on the 2nd. As for Hamilton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 13-2 win against Fairfax on the 2nd.
