Basketball Recap: Foard Takes a Loss

Foard extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 12-11. They were dealt a 69-36 defeat at the hands of the Bandys Trojans. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-14.

When it comes to explaining why Foard lost, don't look at Jessica Bailey. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.

As for Bandys, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Bandys' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Gault, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave Gault a new career-high. Addison Bell was another key player, going 5-for-11 on her way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Foard has already played their next matchup, a 68-41 loss against East Lincoln on the 19th. As for Bandys, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-52 defeat against North Lincoln on the 19th.
