Softball Game Preview: Austintown-Fitch Falcons vs. Aurora Greenmen

The Austintown-Fitch Falcons will challenge the Aurora Greenmen at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, Austintown-Fitch didn't have quite enough to beat Canfield and fell 5-4. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Aurora waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. Everything went their way against the Black Tigers as they made off with an 11-2 win. The Greenmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by eight runs or more this season.

Aurora pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Austintown-Fitch, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.

Austintown-Fitch was able to grind out a solid victory over Aurora in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, winning 5-0. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greenmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
