Woodside took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 45-36 victory over Jefferson. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Menlo-Atherton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 46-41 to Sacred Heart Prep. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The victory got Woodside back to even at 8-8. As for Menlo-Atherton, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
