Baseball Recap: Bland Drops Highest Score of Season Against Campbell

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bland). They came out on top against the Campbell Indians on Tuesday by a score of 15-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Bland got a big performance out of Jackson Taylor, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Max Rodriguez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Bland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Campbell struck out six times.

Bland's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Campbell, they dropped their record down to 3-8-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Bland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Campbell: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
