Basketball Recap: Overton Comes Up Short

Overton suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Grace Community Cougars and fell 62-32. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Mustangs' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Overton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Grace Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Overton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lovelady at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grace Community, they will face off against Kemp at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
