Wolfe County barely beat Pikeville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Wolfe County never let Pikeville get on the board and left with a 12-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Chloy Creech was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Reaghan Patton, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Wolfe County's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Pikeville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wolfe County will head out to face off against St. Francis at 11:15 a.m. on Monday. As for Pikeville, they will venture away from home to square off against Montini Catholic at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
