Preview: Independence Home School Lions vs. Ozanam

Independence Home School is 8-2 against Ozanam since November of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Independence Home School Lions will head out on the road to face off against Ozanam at 5:00 p.m. Independence Home School will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.

Independence Home School scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 79-39 victory over Guadalupe Centers. Given Independence Home School's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 246th in Kansas, while Guadalupe Centers is ranked 584th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Isaac Daniels had a dynamite game for Independence Home School, scoring 33 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Philip Cresswell, who scored 11 points.

Meanwhile, even though Training Center Christian scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Ozanam still came out on top. Ozanam secured a 60-55 W over Training Center Christian.

Talan Olmstead was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-9 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was A.W. Poke, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.

Independence Home School's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Ozanam, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Independence Home School beat Ozanam 76-65 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Independence Home School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
