Softball Recap: Gateway Sets Scoring Season-High Against Woodland Hills

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gateway). They blew past the Woodland Hills Wolverines 21-1 on Thursday. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Gateway got a massive performance out of Rylee Beavin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Beavin a new career-high. Gianna D'Agostino was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Gateway hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 3-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Woodland Hills, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Gateway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodland Hills, they will venture away from home to square off against Penn Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
