Volleyball Game Preview: Bennington Badgers vs. Elkhorn North Wolves

Bennington is 0-10 against Elkhorn North since September of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Badgers will take on the Wolves at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bennington picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against Lincoln East by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Badgers.

Bennington can attribute much of their success to Addy Olson, who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Olson a new career-high. Paige Gargano also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Elkhorn North posted their closest win since August 30th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Elkhorn South.

Elkhorn North took Elkhorn South into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 25-16, 19-26, 15-13.

Bennington better keep an eye on Millie Mauch. She was instrumental in Elkhorn North's win, getting 12 digs and one assist.

Bennington's record is now 11-6. As for Elkhorn North, their record now sits at 17-4.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Bennington has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.7 aces per game.
