Softball Recap: Glasgow Has No Trouble Against Adair County

Glasgow won the last time they faced Adair County and things went their way on Monday too. The Scotties walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Indians. That three run margin sets a new team best for the Scotties this season.

Kerigan Hagan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Glasgow saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taya Lightfoot, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Glasgow hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Glasgow's record is now 3-18. As for Adair County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glasgow will challenge Warren East at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Scotties' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Adair County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Marion County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
