Baseball Recap: Spencer Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sioux Central on Thursday, Spencer came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Spencer now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer will take on Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sergeant Bluff-Luton, they will square off against Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
