Scott skates past Newport Central Catholic with ease

Recap: Scott Eagles vs. Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds
The Scott Eagles lost to the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds back in December of 2022, but the Scott Eagles didn't allow the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Scott simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Newport Central Catholic 87-53 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-23.
Xarek Sarakatsannis was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Connor Griffin, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Scott now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Newport Central Catholic, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scott will take on Beechwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newport Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Bracken County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bracken County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
