North Tonawanda and Kenmore West are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Lumberjacks will take on the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Tonawanda will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

North Tonawanda will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Williamsville East, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Lumberjacks came out on top against the Flames by a score of 8-4 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kenmore West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Newfane on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-3 victory. The contest marked the Blue Devils' most dominant win of the season.

Dani Hatch made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Hatch was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Foglia, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Olivia Orcholski was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Kenmore West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Kenmore West's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4. As for North Tonawanda, their record now sits at 5-0.

North Tonawanda took their win against Kenmore West in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lumberjacks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
