Recap: Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions vs. DasCHE Spartans
After a string of 15 wins, the Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 84-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of DasCHE. While losing is never fun, Texas Lions HomeSchool can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while DasCHE is ranked 120th).
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jon Hadnot, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Hadnot hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Trenton Page was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
DasCHE got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaleb Jackson out in front who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Clark, who scored 19 points along with five assists and three steals.
Texas Lions HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 23-8. As for DasCHE, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season.
Texas Lions HomeSchool will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Dallas HSAA at 8:30 p.m. on January 27th. Texas Lions HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 472 points over their last seven contests. As for DasCHE, they and Parker-Tarrant HomeSchool will face off at 8:30 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. DasCHE is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 71.1 points per game this season.
