Monroe Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Beallsville on Saturday. Monroe Central blew past Beallsville 10-0. The Seminoles haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Wesley Loch made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Loch was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Prestin Binegar and Max Demchak did most of the damage at the plate: Binegar scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Demchak scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Owen Weckbacher was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Monroe Central's record is now 2-0. As for Beallsville, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Monroe Central and Beallsville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Monroe Central is set to challenge their familiar foe Caldwell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beallsville will square off against rival Bridgeport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
