Baseball Recap: Hoover Vikings vs. Wooster Generals
After losing to Wooster the last time they met, Hoover decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hoover Vikings walked away with a 6-3 win over the Wooster Generals on Monday.
Carson Dyrlund was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI. Mason Ashby was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Wooster, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Hoover will head out on the road to take on GlenOak at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hoover's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so GlenOak's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Wooster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
