After flying high against D'Iberville last Thursday, Biloxi came back down to earth. The Biloxi Indians wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-14.
Lily Trosclair was nothing short of spectacular for Gulfport: she had seven digs and 30 assists. Trosclair is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted nine or more in the last 40 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Sydney Allen, who had eight digs and two aces.
Biloxi dropped their record down to 9-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Gulfport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.
Biloxi will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ocean Springs at 6:30 p.m. Ocean Springs will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Biloxi surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gulfport, they will head out to take on D'Iberville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
