Basketball Recap: Manistique Takes a Loss

Manistique was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Negaunee Miners and fell 75-31. While losing is never fun, the Emeralds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Miners are ranked 135th).

Manistique's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Negaunee, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Manistique will be playing in front of their home fans against Gwinn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Negaunee, they are taking a road trip to face off against West Iron County at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
