Basketball Game Preview: MACCRAY Wolverines vs. Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints

The MACCRAY Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

MACCRAY is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Central Minnesota Christian, falling 81-44. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Bluejays are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg suffered their biggest loss since January 2nd on Tuesday. They were dealt an 86-54 defeat at the hands of Dawson-Boyd. The Fighting Saints haven't had much luck with the Blackjacks recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for MACCRAY, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

MACCRAY beat Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 57-50 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for MACCRAY since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
