Football Recap: Ramapo's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Ramapo unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 29-22 to the Suffern Mounties. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gryphons of the 25-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.

Despite the defeat, Ramapo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nahum Pierre rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 23 yards and one TD. Pierre's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

Ramapo now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Suffern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-8.

As of now, neither Ramapo nor the Mounties have any future games scheduled.
