Softball Recap: Potomac School Beats Georgetown Visitation Prep for Their Third Straight Win

Potomac School had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Charlotte Parry, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Harper Kelly also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Potomac School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Potomac School's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Potomac School has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against Maret on the 24th. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Sidwell Friends on the 24th.
