Basketball Recap: Kennedy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Kennedy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Cordova Lancers 70-53 on Wednesday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Lancers are ranked 942nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kennedy had a senior duo take command as Clif Chandler-Manning posted 19 points and Aharon Young scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chandler-Manning has scored all season. Noah Hayes II was another key player, putting up eight points.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Cordova, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Kennedy will be playing at home against Grant at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season. Cordova has already played their next game (against McClatchy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
