Softball Recap: Breckenridge Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dublin last Tuesday, Breckenridge came back down to earth. Breckenridge fell just short of the Millsap Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Buckaroos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Joni Jackson and Ally Reyes did some serious damage despite the final result: Jackson went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Reyes went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Breckenridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-1. As for Millsap, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breckenridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tolar at 5:00 p.m. on April 1. As for Millsap, they will challenge Early at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
