Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Indians vs. Gainesville Leopards

The Sanger Indians will square off against the Gainesville Leopards at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sanger has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 177 points over their last three games.

On Tuesday, Sanger didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Lake Dallas, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Falcons are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Lake Dallas.

Sanger is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 21-6 record this season. As for Gainesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-15.

Sanger strolled past Gainesville in their previous matchup on January 7th by a score of 69-52. Will Sanger repeat their success, or does Gainesville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
