Volleyball Recap: Burleson Comes Up Short

Burleson lost against Granbury back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Elks fell 2-0 to the Pirates. The Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anna Davis paced Burleson's offense, picking up nine kills. Davis got some help from Brooklyn Lynes and her 12 assists.

Burleson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Granbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

Burleson will host Mansfield Legacy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granbury, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Permian on the 23rd.
