Clay is a perfect 10-0 against Menendez since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Clay had taken Middleburg down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Broncos, falling 17-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amiah Carrubba, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Menendez walked away with it. They never let the Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Monday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Rylan Degrande and Madison Faust did most of the damage at the plate: Degrande got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Faust went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Ava Carter was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Menendez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Menendez's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Clay took their victory against Menendez in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
